I wrote this post using the Windows Live Writer (Beta2). It's pretty cool, it allows for blog editing on a software in your own computer. It makes layout and tables much easier. The program looks good and it's easy to use. I recommend it.

I have tested it with Blogger (this post), and with a private Wordpress blog (hosted by my lab). Blogger took zero configuration. For the Wordpress blog, since it was hosted on our own private computer, I had to configure it, but Wordpress has a page about using clients. For Wordpress, you have to select the metaWebLog API and the URL is:
http://<address>/xmlrpc.php
